Self-management is defined as being able to “regulate one’s emotions, thoughts, and behaviours effectively in different situations”. It allows you to organize your time, motivate yourself, work and learn in effective and efficient ways, and control your emotions and actions.
Why is self-management important?
When you have developed your self-management skills, you are more likely to be successful in your learning, work, and career. Self-management skills help you stay productive and find ways to be more successful in setting goals and achieving them.
What will I learn?
In this FUSION module you will learn about the components that comprise self-regulation: taking initiative, being organized, self-regulated learning, and being accountable.
